Design Process

We started with two preliminary design alternatives. The first consisted of a stand with more slats for the feet and a square base for the wire to wrap around the tree. The second consisted of a stand with fewer slats, but they were more spacious and a v-bar for the wire wrap around the tree. These designs were analyzed concerning our primary design concerns:

We decided to base our final design primarily on Design 1, but with a few modifications to include elements from Design 2. Design 1 was too small, therefore we had to make it slightly larger, so it would be more comfortable. Our designs do not include the seat as we plan on buying the seat since it will be the same seat for both designs it was removed from the matrix.
