MacBook Air M2 13″

by Feb 24, 2021

Overview

Redesigned around the next-generation M2 chip, the 13-inch M2 MacBook Air is thinner and lighter than the MacBook Pro, while offering similar performance, exceptional speed, power, graphics, and mobility in a darker, 100% recycled, midnight aluminum finish. The new Apple Silicon (M2) processor offers long-lasting battery life and tons of speed, all while generating very little heat.

The Liquid Retina display with True Tone technology delivers sharp, bright text and images and white balance that adjusts to match the light around you. The built-in 1080p FaceTime HD camera and studio-quality three-mic array also contribute to a comfortable screen viewing and online meeting experience.

Rapid battery charging, the improved keyboard with biometric Touch ID, and the two Thunderbolt USB-C ports for peripherals make this a great choice for supporting your mobile digital life.

Air vs Pro

Both the Macbook Pro and Air are powerful machines based on the new, next-generation M2 chip. Although the Pro has an edge in video editing, performance benchmarking indicates that the two are very similar. Comparing the Air and Pro feature-by-feature, the Air is lighter and thinner, has a slightly larger screen, has a better camera, and comes in a darker “midnight” finish. It also has lower battery life, active cooling for sustained performance, and two fewer GPU cores.
