She received her BFA from the University of New Mexico and is currently pursuing her MFA in photography at the University<span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">\u00a0of Nebraska-Lincoln. In recent works, she has enjoyed revisiting her childhood home and carrying this throughout as a subject\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">in her work.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Jamie writes<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, &#8220;Canton Gulf<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> is an ongoing photographic series that aims to preserve and examine my parents\u2019 legacy and question if home is defined by geography or by embedded traditions. The work is a rediscovery of the place I have forgotten over the years of holidays passing without my return. Not only does it touch on universal themes of home and domesticity, but it also explores the American Dream through the eyes of my immigrant family.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
