The Journalism option is designed for those interested in becoming journalists working in newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, web-based or other multimedia projects as well as working as freelancers.

In addition to the department’s academic core classes and professional skills core classes, students in the Journalism option take courses in news writing, reporting, feature writing, news editing and a senior media lab.
