Winona\u2019s Levee Park was the site of the second annual Big Muddy Brew N\u2019 Que during Labor Day weekend. \u00a0People from Winona and the surrounding area had the opportunity to experience live music, wine and beer tasting, a bean bag toss tournament, and barbeque tasting.<\/p>\n

The Big Muddy Brew N\u2019 Que had a new layout this year.\u00a0 Due to construction at west end of Levee Park, the location was moved to the east end or the park near Godfather\u2019s Pizza.\u00a0 Another first, was expanding the event to a two-day event.<\/p>\n

Ben Knuesel, 27, of Winona attended last year\u2019s event, and was pleased with how the second year improved.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was fantastic,\u201d Knuesel said, \u201cLast year was the first time we had something like this on the levee, and utilizing the river, which is a big part of Winona.\u201d<\/p>\n

Winona\u2019s Awesome Eats food truck offered their barbeque pulled pork sandwich at the Big Muddy Brew N’ Que at Levee Park.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Co-founder of Insight Brewing from Minneapolis, Ilan Klages-Mundt, returned to his hometown to experience the event for the first time.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s awesome to try local beer, so for people to hear that we\u2019re from here,\u201d Klages-Mundt said, \u201cthere\u2019s a little bit of pride to bring the beer back to Winona.\u201d<\/p>\n

Klages-Mundt said he couldn\u2019t attend last year\u2019s event he said he was pleased with the professionalism and organization of the second year\u2019s event.<\/p>\n

Klages-Mundt said the venue made the experience seem busy, but not over-crowded.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt felt like there was a really good energy the whole time,\u201d Klages-Mundt added, \u201cPeople came back to the booth multiple times, and I didn\u2019t hear any complaints.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
