Design Production Lab

Design Production Lab is located on the first floor of Watkins Hall in Room 114. All Design students have 24/7 access.

Design Computer Lab is located on the second floor of Watkins Hall in Room 213. All Design students have 24/7 access.

RICOH Digital Press

The Ricoh Digital Press allows students to experiment with 5th channel printing (white, transparent, neon yellow, and neon pink).

Epilog Laser Engraver

The 24x18" Epilog Laser Cutter/Engraver allows students to experiment with a variety of materials in their creative projects.

T-shirt Printer

The T-shirt Printer allows students to experiment expanding their layouts to textile and apparel.

EPSON Wide Format Printer

The Epson plotter allows students to experiment with large-scale and non-standard format printing.

Wacom Drawing Tablets

The large Wacom Tablets allow students to push their digital drawing and animation skills to a new level.

Graphtec Vinyl Plotter

The Vinyl plotter allows students to experiment with environmental graphics of various sizes and formats.

Foil Machine

The Foil machine allows students to explore speciality printing by using metal foils to add tactility and extra value.

PLA 3D Printer

The 3D printers allow students to explore digital scanning and PLA printing for prototyping and product production.

Formlabs 3D Printer

The 3D printers allow students to explore digital scanning and stereolithography printing for prototyping and product production.

Xerox Printer

The Xerox printer allows students to explore specialty metal printing (gold, silver, and clear inks) in addition to regular CMYK.

Directions to Campus

It is easy enough to drive to WSU, but you also have other transportation options for getting to Winona

There is an Amtrak station just a few blocks from campus, and the Jefferson Lines Bus Service offers pick up and drop off right outside Kryzsko Commons.

If you drive and plan to use a GPS, enter this as the location: 170 West Sanborn Street, Winona, Minnesota.

Driving from Minneapolis or St. Paul

Take U.S. Highway 61 south into Winona. Stay on 61 until the stoplight at Huff Street. Turn left on Huff.

Then take a right onto Sarnia Street at the stoplight. Turn left onto Main Street at a four-way stop.

Entrances to the Gold and Purple lots are on the left.

Driving from the west via I-90

Take I-90 east to Highway 43 north, exit 252. Turn left onto Highway 43, which brings you into Winona.

At the stoplight, take a left onto Highway 43N (Homer Road) and go to the stoplight. Turn left onto Highway 14/61. Follow 61 until the stoplight at Huff Street.

Turn right onto Huff, then right onto Sarnia Street at the stoplight. Turn left onto Main Street at a four-way stop.

Driving from La Crosse, Madison, Milwaukee and Chicago

Take I-90 west to La Crosse and into Minnesota. Take the “To Winona” exit on U.S. Highway 61 and follow into Winona. Stay on 61 until the stoplight at Huff Street.

Turn right at Huff; then take a right onto Sarnia Street at the stoplight. Turn left onto Main Street at a four-way stop.

Driving from Rochester, Owatonna and Mankato via Highway 14

Take U.S. Highway 14 east into Winona. Turn right on U.S. Highway 14/61. Follow 61 until the stoplight at Huff Street.

Turn left at Huff, then take a right onto Sarnia Street at the stoplight. Turn left onto Main Street at a four-way stop.
